[net.rec.birds] Dark-Eyed Junco?

     This is a new one to me.  Were several species of junco recently
reclassified as races of a single species called the Dark-Eyed?  I had heard
of the Audubon and Myrtle Warblers being "merged" like this, but not this one.

Quite correct, All juncos are now considered one species with
regional variations. In just the same way that Yellow Rumped
Warblers now encompass Murtle,Audobons and the rest.
