The promise of an object oriented system like InterViews has always been a (relative) independance of lower layers, like the graphics system. Is anyone aware of efforts to provide interface layers for other<tm> graphics systems, like the Macintosh, MS-Windows, or even Borlands BGI graphics library? I'm not advocating using other graphics systems than X11, just curious at whether or not it can be (or has been) done. There are commercial products available (XVT springs to mind) which do provide this graphics-system independant class library for graphics applications. -- Bert Driehuis, driehuis@ooc.uva.nl Morssingel 243, 2312 EX Leiden, The Netherlands.
