Hi. I recently grabbed the 2.6 source off of interviews.stanford.edu, and I am wondering what patches have already been applied to it, if any. I am not sure where the best source of information about this kind of thing is...I was told that this newsgroup may be archived on that same machine, but all I found was an archive of mail, not the newsgroup. How does one avoid re-asking all the questions that have been posted and answered? I had grabbed a copy of the 2.6 source about a year ago, but when I compared the new copy with the old, the dates for the files in the tarfile were actually newer (by a little) in the older copy! I would grab the 3.0 beta source, but recent postings seem to indicate that it wont compile under gnu compilers and libg++, right? Please point me towards more information about this so that I wont have to clutter the network with questions. Thank you very much. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Douglas Scott Columbia University Computer Music Studio Internet: <doug@woof.columbia.edu> <das15@cunixa.cc.columbia.edu> UUCP: ...!columbia!woof!zardoz!doug Phone: (703)765-4771
