I have ported InterViews v. 2.6 to the NeXT 2.0 platform, which I run under the "Mouse-X" window server (the one with the 3-mouse-button capability). InterViews compiles using the c++ compiler that comes with the NeXT. The version I have built does not use the libg++ libraries at all, but for those who want to use the gnu versions of streams, etc., I am sure it should be no problem. As a matter of fact, I set the configuration so that it expects there to be a libg++ and a /usr/include/g++ directory (just to be sure) but this can be easily changed. The actual number of changes is very small--mostly header files. I put a detailed explanation of the changes in a README file that is included with the patch. I put the patch in pub/contrib on interviews.stanford.edu as IV-NeXTpatch.tar.Z for those of you that wish to try it.
