[comp.windows.interviews] Interviews software at Stanford,

tuttle@LEMON.ICSL.UCLA.EDU (Tyson Tuttle) (06/22/91)

Dear Interviewer,

I am a graduate student at UCLA studying electrical engineering. I
have been using the program "idraw" for awhile, and have talked with a
few people in our CS department who are programming with the
InterViews toolkit. The only complaint I have about idraw is the way
it handles fonts - it would be nice to have separate menus for font,
style and point size instead of having to select from one menu.
Overall though, I am truly impressed with the InterViews widgets (if
that is what they are called !?!)

Are many people there at Stanford or elsewhere are writing
applications in InterViews for in-house use which might be of use to
us here at UCLA? If so, is there any way for us to get a copy. Our
group is primarily involved in IC design. Also, could you please add
me to your mailing list for updates and software information.

Thank you so much for your time...

Our primary focus is the tools rather than the applications, though we do applications
to validate the tools (and because we want to use the applications ourselves). The document
editor in 3.0 is the most recent example of this.
