C. Huang in Toronto, Canada <cthuang@contact.uucp> wrote a public domain
utility called cproto, which reads C source files and generates ANSI
prototypes. This was posted to comp.sources.misc earlier. I have just
finished porting this to Coherent. It works great! - though, there is
one bug I haven't been able to remove, in that it won't re-open stdin
to a filename, that is:
cproto [options] file doesn't work
cproto [options] < file works
Perhaps someone else will see what I am obviously missing and correct it.
In doing the port, I found Coherent's lex and yacc choked on the .l and .y
sources - I had to make these on a Sun. The final port (source and docs
only) compiles with a couple of warnings using Coherent's make. It is
contained in a compressed Coherent tar:
-r--r--r-- 2 uucp uucp 110828 Sat Apr 13 22:27 cproto.tar.Z
Anyhow, I'll upload this to mwcbbs. I do not have ftp access to piggy -
can anyone tell me how to upload to piggy without ftp? (or volunteer to
do this if I e-mail them the file in uuencoded form).
