Hi, Fred van Kempen just posted WNEWS 3.0 in comp.os.minix. Since I personally have no possibilities to ftp from piggy (I receive all software from piggy on diskettes) and so had to wait for a diskette with CNEWS I tried to port WNEWS 3.0, a small but nevertheless good news system to Coherent. Now it is working and I will test it more intensively. I now use CNEWS on my 386/ix and am interested in the Coherent version. But for all those who receive news but could not ftp from piggy they should try to port WNEWS 3.0. The most difficult part is unbatch.c and sendbatch.c when compress is started. The rest is not too difficult. If anyone has problems with porting it mail me a message. If there is common interest (nevertheless CNEWS should be better) I will try to get it to piggy.
