I just posted TASS 3.0 for Coherent to this group. I now saw that Rich Skrenta, the author of TASS, posted the new version to alt.sources. I still didn't look at the code but will try to port it again but not post. Guy van Wuellen will also port it to MINIX (the version Coherent tass is ported from) so also have a look at that group (you always should look at comp.os.minix for sources !) TASS 3.2 - I got it !! It is very easy to port the new TASS 3.2. Everyone with a little Knowledge of C should be able to port it. I know nothing about C programming (but can tell you all about MOV word ptr [bx][di], ax) and I got it in about 20 Minutes. Rich Skrenta mailed me patches because there seems to be a bug in the new sources. After I understand how to use cdiff so that someone can patch sources I will post the patches. If you have tass 3.0 take that curses.c, #define off_t long in mail.c and 96 Percent of the job is done. TASS 3.0: maximum 150 Articles a group TASS 3.2: 300 That should be enough. Only when you read all the /usr/spool/news/junk then you will get problems. Joachim
