I'm at a loss to understand why...I ALWAYS follow the prescribed Ha! I started having that problem after changing my PC to use a SCSI disc. About a fortnight ago fsck started core-dumping. I booted off another partition, downloaded mwcbbs!/usr/spool/uucppublic/download/updates/fsck.Z and ran that. It fixed the disc. I haven't had any problems since then. The fsck I had been using was from the 3.1.0 version and was dated June or July '90. The version from mwcbbs was dated October '90. ______________________________________________________________________________ "And when we travel by Electricity - if I may venture to develop your theory - we shall have leaflets instead of booklets, and the Murder and the Wedding will come on the same page." mwcbbs!algol!bruce, brucem%cix@ukc.ac.uk, +44 983 520293 Wk0800-1600 GMT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
