In the northern state of Haryana, atleast 28 people were killed when a state transport carrying the overload, plunged in to a 25 meter ditch near Shimla. The conditon of the seventeen injured passengers is reported to be serious. The former union minister Mr.Anil Shastri resigned from Janata Dal and the Lok Sabha. Mr.Shastry submitted his resignation to the party president Mr.S.R.Bommai. The Parliament is going to meet on Monday at 11 to discuss the interim budget, Railway budget and the budget of states and the union territories. The National Front Chairman Mr.N.T Rama Rao has urged the President to dissolve the Loksabha and call for immediate elections. Mr.Rama Rao was addressing newsmen in Hyderabad. Train services were disrupted on Delhi - Allahabad and Bombay lines following a major accident elsewhere. Narotham Reddy
