Already in the state, elections to five assembly const. have been countermanded following the death of the candidates seeking election. The CE commissioner Mr.T.N.Sheshan has said, there is no need to postpone elections in any part of the country including Bihar as of now. He was addressing a news conference in Hyderabad today. The PM Mr.CS said that Punjab problem can be solved only through dialogue and peaceful negotiations. Addressing a press conference in Alwar Rajasthan, the PM said his govt will not compromise on the unity and the territorial integrity of the country while finding a negotiable settlement to the problems of Punjab, J&K or any other problem. The former CM of J&K Dr.Farooq Abdullah said only a strong govt at the center can keep the country united and solve the problems in J&K and Assam. Dr.Abdullah was attending a meeting in Bihar. Nepal goes to polls tomorrow. About 1345 candidates are in fray for the 205 member house of representatives. General elections are being held in the Himalayan kingdom after a gap of 32 years. The main contest is between the ruling Nepalese Congress and the Nepal Communist party.
