An additional info on BBC TV news at Six is as follows:
The road from Delhi to Meerut was blocked near Varanaga. Some Cong(I)
vehicles were set ablaze after alleging that they were used for capturing two
polling booths and rubber stamped ballots. The pictures showed a number of
abandoned ballot boxes and the reporter said a large number of stamped ballots
have been set ablaze. The clashes were between JD supporters and Cong(I)
supporters. The police are accused of just sitting around and not intervening
to stop voting frauds. The reporter (Brian Baron) has not mentioned whether
this was the incident which resulted in 11 dead or not.
The total number of dead according to BBC at that time is 'at least
thirty'.
