P.V.N. unanimously selected by CI Parliamentary Board at 1600(IST). In
the morning ( India) Sharad Pawar decided to withdraw his candidature
forthe post of party leader and it became clear that PVN would be the
next PM of India. He has already started negotiations with other party
leaders for forming the govt. CI is most likely to form a minority govt
rather than a coalition govt. PVN talked about the proceedings of the
meeting being the centre of focus of the world etc. Sharad Pawar was
vocal about the CI maintaining RG's legacy and will implement all the
promises of RG made before his tragic assasination.

About Panjab , as per the Election COmmissioner Postponement of Election
at this hour is not feasible. Canvassing has already ended. In all 22
candidates have been killed. As per a commentator , it was a irony that
most of the people killed were having affiliations with extremist
groups.Extremists are using banners, loudspeakers etc to stop people
from exercising their franchise. They have promised empty ballot boxes
to the Govt Of India. Elections are due on 22nd June. --
