one held in connection with rajiv assassination
thrissur, june 24 a man, suspected to have links
with the assassination of former prime minister, mr rajiv
gandhi was taken into custody by the cbi officials from here
yesterday.
the suspect, belonging to kottarakkara in kollam
district, was said to have been in madras on may 21. a diary
seized by the authorities from him had a scribble +10.10
21-5-91 and most unfortunate+, according to official sources
here.
the sources said that the diary did not not have regular
entry. they said that according to their information the
suspect had joined as a worker in a printing press at nearby
aranatukara after the assassination.
the press had been locked and sealed by the officials
here, the sources said.
the house of the press owner was located in nearby
viyyoor. a cbi team was expected to be here for detailed
enquiries tomorrow, the sources added.
