Security was tightened at the airport after the blast, the first at the airport. The baggages of the passengers was thoroughly frisked before they were allowed into the departure lounge. The Device, wrapped in a cloth and rexin bag, was kept in a luggage trolly parked close to an air-India enquiry counter at the departure hall of the airport. The explosion brought down the false ceiling of the departure lounge and shattered the glass panes. The glass pieces caused minor injuries to the waiting passengers, eyewitnesses said. The trolley was twisted out of shape under the impact of the blast. The air-India counter was also damaged, they said. End of article
