BSR X3.170a, Enhanced Small Device Interface ( ESDI) (addendum
to ANSI X3.170-1990)
Defines the enhanced small device interface (ESDI) specification.
The ESDI supports magnetic and optical disk with a like
physical interface, the same command response protocol, and
similar command. This addendum involves the deletion of Table
28 and the revision of 7.12.

your approval, indicate whether approval is contingent upon considering
them for inclusion (1) in the current proposal or (2) in future
revisions of the current proposal. If you disapprove, give your
reasons." Draft documents are not, in general, available from the
source indicated after the closing date for comments. Comments should
