HELP NEEDED WITH TAPE DRIVE INSTALLATION Our software manufacturing shop is replacing some of it's tape drives and donating the old ones to our Amateur Radio Club. The Tape drives are manufactured by Cipher specifically for AT&T, the same type of drive that the older 3B2 computers came with. It's model number 525 (960273-601). What I'd like to do is use them with the PC's in the radio room. I'm hoping that they are not too different from other tape drives made by Cipher. The pamphlet that comes with the drive says that the interface emulates the industry standard SA450 or SA850 interface. I believe these are the same ones commonly used by 5.25 and 8 inch floppy disk drives. The rear connectors are the same as I'd find on a PC floppy disk drive. The pamphlet even gives a few hints about it being daisy chained with floppy disk drives and calls it a floppy tape etc. There are some jumper settings that are explained in the pamphlet that I don't understand. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Andrew Gaunt - KA1YLG ..att!attsb!awg awg@attsb.att.com WWIVnet: 3@6300
