My unix-pc is now having a problem logging in to it. I have 3 login windows set up on the console and 2 logins from the serial port. After about 1 to 2 days, I'll try and log in on the console, or via any other port, and it'll prompt for user name, then passwd, it'll tell you about a wrong passwd if you enter it wrong, it does everything normal except .... After you type the correct passwd, the hard drive runs for about a second and just locks up. You can toggle through the console windows and try to log in again and it does the same way. If you wait about 3 minutes, it'll close all the windows that are locked up. It will not regenerate a login prompt. If you reboot the machine it works fine for about another 2 days and then it'll mess up again.. Anyone seen this problem and have any advice??? o o ______ _ _____ _ _ o o "I'm in the car park."
