[comp.sys.3b1] Looking for OSU 3B1 Answering Machine

mindel@netwrx1.NW1.COM (Joshua L Mindel) (03/22/91)

I'm trying to obtain the OSU 3B1 Answering Machine software.

Can anyone provide me with a UUCP address/pathname for this software?
If not, can you provide me with an OSU email (USENET or Internet) address of
someone that can help me?

I know this was recently discussed, but I have been unable to locate
the requested item in my news archives.

Thanks much.

Okay, first of all I assume that you have a voicepower board,
which is required to use the answering machine software. Just
checking ;-)

The software you are referring to was written by Gil Kloepfer,
and the uucp path is osu-cis!~/att7300/ansmach.Z Make sure
you grab osu-cis!~/att7300/README.Z while you're there, so
you'll have a list of what else is available from osu-cis.

Here's the Systems or L.sys entry for that system.

osu-cis Any ACU 19200 16142925112 "" \d\r in:--in:--in: Uanon
(other baud rates will work... it's a telebit modem).

You can also ftp anonymously from cheops.cis.ohio-state.edu,
and the only difference is that the directory you first get
plunked into is one higher, so you need to begin with
"cd pub/att7300", and then get the files you want.
