I'm combining problems, in order to save the net a bit of bandwidth. 8) The systems are a 3B1 (2Mb RAM, 40Mb HD, System 3.51m w/dev kit) & a 3B2/300 with all the standard perks. Problem #1 - This involves mainly the 3B2. Although the pty stuff from the OSU archives gives instructions for installation on SVR3, the instructions are for an NCR tower, & the 3B2 uses an apparently completely different scheme for dealing with devices, etc. Has anyone installed the pty stuff on a 3B2, & can mail me details on how to do it? Problem #2 - I had a program I compiled 2 months ago, & had no problems. Now, when I came back to it today, it refuses to compile, giving me an error about "too many auto variables (>32K)". The assembler then dies, whining about how various addresses are out of range (or something like that). Can anyone tell me what could have caused this unchanged program to suddenly make the compiler barf?
