Has anybody setup their 3b1 using a hayes comp. external modem for call back (or simply answering a call) from a remote system which calls and issues a login prompt, such as using ct ? I would prefer not to use the phone manager, and would also like to avoid using the OBM, if possible. I am interested in setting up such an arrangement for long distance clients when remote support is needed, to avoid having to pay phone company charges for remote support and troubleshooting for certain clients (who have selected not to buy software support contracts - I know, the 1-900 number can be quite handy for incoming for support calls as well, maybe soon (^: ). Can one simply use cu directly on the port to receive the remote getty, and login on their system ? Any info on setting up such an arrangement would be appreciated. Thanks, David R. Mayne -- David R.
