This posting indicates how dumb I am...not how smart! I touched the DB25 connector on a cable going to my combo card and ZAPped it with static, and all of a sudden tty001 could transmit but could not receive. Ouch. Well, I took a guess that I had probably fried in MC1489 line receiver that's closest to the connector for tty001, and I was right. Whew! I just posted this in case anyone else runs into the same problem some time. If only my voice power card would work, now! little david -- Unix is not your mother.
