[comp.sys.3b1] Floppy drive is dead...

brentb@nuchat.sccsi.com (Brent Burton) (06/24/91)

Hello all.

I recently bought a TEAC 720K floppy and I'm not asking the usual
questions.

During my experience trying to get it work, I think I might have
munged my floppy controller and my original floppy drive. Before I started
messing with my machine the 360k floppy worked fine. Now, the machine
can't read anything from it. Which chips on the motherboard, that deal
with the floppy, can be checked and replaced? Anybody have to do this?
Does any tech person know of some test I could run here to check the drive
to see if it's the culprit? All ideas welcome.

Following is the errors from /usr/adm/unix.log. Can somebody explain these
please?
