zerkle@iris.ucdavis.edu (Dan Zerkle) (02/20/91)

[ I just got this from the manager of Supra's marketing department ]
[ It's about time they got that 2400 Plus out! Apparently, they ]
[ finally worked out their difficulties with the chip supplier. ]
[ -Dan ]

Supra plans to ship an internal version of this modem for Amiga 2000
and 3000 computers later this spring. It will retail for $229.95.

The SupraModem 2400 MNP has been shipping for a couple months. It features
MNP 2-5 and retails for $199.95. This modem offers up to 4800 bps error-free
throughput when connected to another MNP 5 modem. It can also be upgraded to
CCITT V.42bis.

Supra is planning to ship a 9600 bps modem later this spring,
tentatively priced at $799.95 retail. It will support V.32, MNP 5, & V.42bis.

[ This announcement is extracted from some personal mail between Matt ]
[ Dillon and myself. Interestingly, the header on his message said ]
[ he used AmigaUUCP 1.11 to send it.... ]
[ For those of you who don't know, AmigaUUCP is a system that lets ]
[ your Amiga use electronic mail and Usenet, and DICE stands for ]
[ Dillon's integrated C environment, and is a system for compiling ]
[ programs written in C. Both are freely redistributable. ]
[ -Dan ]

If you would like to announce it, AmigaUUCP 1.12 is now available
on uunet.uu.net in amiga-sources/dillon. Tad is about to post
    DICE206.LZH to comp.sources.amiga.

The number of serious bugs that have been found since 1.08 are
astounding -- a huge number. They are down to a trickle as of
V1.12, so I hope to be able to send 1.13 to the net. You can
    post that too.
