Vision Quest and SunRize Industries announce the AD1016 16 bit audio card for
the Amiga 2000 and 3000 line of computers. The AD1016 is bundled with SunRize's
Studio 16 sample editing software, which supports the standard cut, copy, and
paste operations, as well as more advanced operations like real-time graphic
EQ. The AD1016 includes a SMPTE time code reader and full-featured digital 
I/O onboard. The card, designed and developed by Vision Quest Systems, will be
manufactured and marketed by SunRize Industries.

Preliminary hardware specifications:


	16 bit 64k oversampling stereo analog inputs including balanced line
	and unbalanced analog I/O

	Sampling rates of 32k, 44.1k, and 48k

	Serial digital audio input/output, switchable between:

		Professional: 	AES/EBU
		Consumer:     	IEC 958
		      		SP/DIF
		      		EIAJ CP-340

	Motorola DSP56001 Digital Signal Processor running at 20 mhz

	8k SRAM (total) onboard for DSP Program, X, and Y memory (expandable
		to 192k)

	External digital audio clock input

	MIDI input/output

	SMPTE reader onboard

	8x oversampling 16 bit stereo analog outputs (18 bit option)

	Extensive connectors for future daughterboard and external expansion 


Projected retail price: approx. $2000 US


Intended functions (as software is available):


	Audio editing and equalization

	Sampling keyboard sound generation and editing

	Audio recording clean-up/remastering

	Time compression/expansion

	Digital sample rate conversion 

	Digital audio recording/mastering to DAT

	External and MIDI triggering of samples

	Video sound editing, scoring, sound effects, and dialog replacement, all
		slaved to SMPTE Time Code

	Sound synthesis and music sampling


Development packets, including programming information and a native Amiga
