The GSA Day Care Committee is now accepting applic1ations for daycare bursaries for the Fall term. The application form can be found in this issue of The Latest. As the funds for these bursaries are provided by the Provost's Incentive Challenge Fund, applications from WOMEN graduate students only can be considered. Students with children presently enroled in full- or part-time day care, or on a waiting list for a day care spot, may apply for a bursary. Applications for children in unlicensed daycare will not be considered. According to our information, some day care bursaries are also available through the Mathematics and Science faculties. As proof that your child(ren) is(are) presently in day care or on a waiting list, you must submit, with your application, one of the following: a) your latest receipt from the day care centre; b) a letter from the day care centre indicating that the child(ren) is(are) presently enroled or is(are) on a waiting list. NO APPLICATION WILL BE CONSIDERED WITHOUT THIS SUPPORTING INFORMATION. Applications must be received at the GSA office by 4:00 pm, Friday, May 17, 1991. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection process by Friday, May 24, and the procedure for picking up bursary cheques will be explained at that time. INCOMPLETE AND/OR LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Please contact me (Anil) at the GSA office, (X:3634), if you have any questions about the application form or procedures. I would like to take this opportunity to appeal for help in managing the Day Care Bursaries Program now and in the future. Please volunteer a little of your time to help sustain the Program and make it better. The "Annual Report of the GSA Day Care Committee" for the last year is available on request from the GSA office. - Anil Goel GSA Day Care Committee ________________________________________________________________ The Latest is printed on recycled paper (except for the front page).
