The advice to download .22 mentioned in a posting as coming from an Israeli trainer of their secret service is not probably what was said. Subsonic .22 works better in silenced weapons. Not that Win Super-X can't be used but the silencer is longer. As far as dumping on the victim and it not being aimed fire - wrong. The technique is to dump all the rounds in the throat to silence the victim and cause rapid collapse and bleed-out. This occurs at short range but the rounds all hit or are intended to. It's not spray and pray. I suppose Beretta's would do. So would a Walther. The idea is to not have to conceal a Ruger MArk II HB with a 25 cm long supressor. Morbid topic an no pun intended.

I read the book about the Israelis. Although I cannot vouce for the
validity of it, they did indeed use the old Beretta .22 semi-autos, with
downloaded .22 LR in it. They would fire two shot double taps, and use
as many as they needed. They went for the body as I recall because under
stress you may miss the head, and they pulled their hits in public places.
