About a month back I wrote to the NRA with the same question about scoring .223 rounds that I recently posted to this group. Yesterday I received my reply. Of course, I defer completely to their response. I may, however, write the rules committee seeking a clearer statement of scoring policy in next year's rule book. Donald R. Newcomb newcomb@world.std.com *************************************************************************** Dear Mr. Newcomb: Thank you for your letter of 19 May on scoring sub-.30 calibre shot holes in highpower rifle competition. It is our opinion that your pit officer acted in the correct manner. If a shot is not questionable it does not need to be plugged. We will forward your letter to the highpower rifle committee for comments. Sincerely, (Signature) George B. Harris, Manager Rifle Department
