About a month ago there was a request for suppliers of cast bullets for the 41 Mag that were heavier than normal. I do not have the requestor's name so I have to post this info. The Penn Bullet company was the one source listed. What was not included in that posting was that Penn will cast the heavyweight bullets out of a premium alloy at an additional cost if the user expects to exceed 1500 fps. A second source that I have run across is Patriot Manufacturing P.O. Box 50065 Lighthouse Point, FL 33074 305-783-4849. For the 41 they list two cast bullets: a 250 gr SSK truncated cone with a plain base, and a 300 gr LBT Long Flat Nose gas check. The prices are $5.50 and $7.95 per fifty. They also list two jacketed bullets: a 275 gr and a 300 gr, both in soft point configuration. Prices are $20.31 and $21.73 per fifty. Their list of available bullets is quite extensive for the 44's, 45's, 475's and 50's. The last two are for the Linebaugh cartridges. There is also listed a number of jacketed bullets for all but the last two. There is also loaded ammunition available. I have not used their products yet so I cannot comment on the quality.
