[comp.multimedia] Prototype Hypermedia

larry@hpfelg.HP.COM (Larry Chapman X3117) (02/06/91)

For what it's worth I've put together a prototype hypermedia g-job
on HP-UX using C++. It currently only supports three node types:

1) Text
2) Songs (using the rather talented beeper on HP Series 300 workstations)
3) Pictures (bitmaps)

The only node that can point to other nodes are nodes of type Text.
Currently the screen is controlled via curses (so I can debug at home).

Anyone else kludged something together??

Suggestion: add 'Shell command with parameters' to your list. It will give
you the ability to incorporate into your hypermedia management program
anything that has a shell command to go with it.
