In our MultiG project we try to build "almost everything", from the gigabit fiber up to distributed multimedia interface builders. My responsability is tye multimedia workstation, providing the various hardware and software for users and applications, a multimedia server a la Xservers. Anyway, I have seen the need for a document describing a number of (5-10) scenarios of multimedia interactions, between user and machine and between users at separate workstations. These senarios should point out the requirements in terms of bandwidth, jitter, delay, processing power, etc., for various medias such as video, audio, mouse, keybouard, drawing systems ("X"), etc. The scenarios should of course be realistic but also more pathological cases should point out some extreme cases. Do you know of any existing paper that adress the same topic? Otherwise I will start on it. Anybody else with ideas for what to include? /hans -- Hans Eriksson (hans@sics.se) Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS), Box 1263, S-164 28 KISTA, Sweden Tel: +46 8 752 1527 Fax: +46 8 751 7230 Home: +46 8 32 68 97
