G'day, Here's a request from a non-usenet user. If you have any information please E-Mail to him (Reply path set correctly). Daniel. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am requesting your prompt help in the followig business: A few days ago I was asked to participate in an Information Technology Mission to Germany, to take place on March 13-19 and organized by the Department of Communications (coordinated by L. Villeneuve). The goal of this mission is to explore the possibilities of cooperative research projects and their funding. My responsibility in the group concerns multimedia systems and applications, including distributed applications, multimedia broadband networks and teleconferencing. In order to maximize the chances of success, I wish to be maximally knowledgeable on Canadian projects in tis area. This includes academic and industrial developments all over Canada. So: Please send me any information you may have on the subject, i.e. short descriptions, pointers to firms or persons involved in such multimedia projects. In return, of course, you will be informed of the outcome of the mission, of the state of things in Germany and eventually the possibilities of cooperative undertakings. (Supposedly there are considerable budgets for this purpose available in Germany, unlike in Canada...) Due to the very tight schedule, I need your input really rapidly. Thanks in advance, Jan Gecsei. -- Jan Gecsei Universite de Montreal, Dep. I.R.O. U-221, C.P. 6128, succursale A Montreal (Quebec) H3C 3J7, Tel.(514) 343-6509 or 343-6602 (messages).
