I recently saw an article that said there was a discussion awhile back entitled 'Multimedia Products for Unix'. I have recently started to research this topic but I unfortunatly missed this discussion. I have little knowledge of this topic and would very much appreciate any past articles or summaries of the discussion. Also any publications, recommendations, suggestions, pointers, tips, definitions, lingo, jargon, etc. would be greatly appreciated. We would also like to find out what are the best windowing packages for use with Multimedia integration. We have a Dec 3100 w/ DEC Windows, a DG Avion 300, Sun SPARCstations 1 and 1+, SunOS 4.01 and 4.1, X11R3 and X11R4, Motif 1.0 and 1.1. My preference is X and Motif because I am very familiar w/ them, but I want to be objective and if there is a better choice then we want to go with it. Thanks for the help.
