We are all familiar that automobiles required/forced the construction of an infrastructure of roads, gas stations, dealers, etc. Many of these structures grew from existing devices to wholy new devices under the spreading influence of the auto (smithy shop to repair garage, general store to gas station). I am trying to figure out which devices we now have that multi-media will re-construct, and which will need to be devised (there was no predecessor to the interstate highway) before multi-media becomes integrated into computer work-a-day life. For instance, I see CD-ROM, in any of its existing or about to be released formats, to be a multi-media infrastructure. Can anyone contribute to this list, or am I "out in the blue?" -- _________________________________________________________ | IMAGISTICS Business Theatre Technology | Rick McCormack | | Interactive Effective Compelling | Vancouver, BC | |________________________________________|________________| | UseNet: Rick_McCormack@mindlink.uucp | A O-L: Rique | |_________________________________________________________| .
