If this is truly the case, then please accept my sincere apologies.

Ron, it is unfortunate that you did not bother to inquire further into
the situation before making incorrect accusations. The software that I
have are ORIGINAL copies lent to me by a professor for use during the
semester. The university hasn't had the money (nor the will) to
maintain a software base for the Amiga and therefore hasn't purchased
software for a couple of years. The one machine that is
left in the lab is there for students to use with their own software.
Since I do not have any Amiga software, but I am very interested in
using the computer (as opposed to the Mac) for animation, the professor
was kind enough to LEND me some of his ORIGINAL software that he no longer
uses. This mostly consists of older programs that are out of date.
However, he did have extra copies of the Deluxe series (these are
again the ORIGINALs). Since most of the programs are old he no longer
has the manuals. As for the Deluxe series (DeluxePaintIII and
DeluxeVideoIII), I don't know what happened to the manuals, either
they were lost or never returned.

It's insulting to be THREATENED by someone who won't even take the
time to get all the facts. Instead you assumed that since I did not
have the manuals, I pirated the software. You obviously made the wrong
assumption.

As I said, I don't own an Amiga. When I do purchase one I WILL
PURCHASE the software. As a Commodore 128 owner, ALL my software has
been PURCHASED. I too am against software piracy. Since you seem to be
a developer (or have some stake in the software market), it's
understandable the you would be so upset about piracy. However, as I
have learned, you cannot accuse people without checking the facts. You
not only accused me of piracy, but you threatened me...without first
inquiring about the situation. All I asked for was some help in
putting together an animation package so that I could do my
assignments and learn about the Amiga's animation abilities. I am
fully willing to purchase additional programs (I am on a limited
budget) to suppliment those lent to me.
