Yes, this is precisely what you need to do for S-VGA.

Not sure I understand the question here. The AmigaDos resolution modes
are irrelevant to the BridgeBoard. The only display modes supported in
the Amiga for PCWindow are CGA and MDA. Other modes require a PC display
  adapter.

Does this mean that assuming you have a Bridgeboard AT, a VGA or
Multisync monitor, and a VGA card, you could run all software (commercial
and otherwise) that an IBM could run?? (Like VGA games or graphic
packages for example). Are there any disadvantages to a Bridgecard AT
over buying a real IBM compatible?? Let me know, I am considering
purchasing one of the bridgecard babies!!

The BridgeBoard, like most IBM compatibles, does not guarantee that all
software will run, but it has been tested with a wide variety of
products. The PC slots in the A2000 will accept just about any PC
hardware (again, no ironclad guarantees), including VGA cards.

It all depends on your personal needs. How many slots do you need?
What applications do you intend to use? Is a 5.25" floppy acceptable?

Well, I'll be honest, I really only need (want) to be able to play
some of the IBM games that never show on the Amiga, most of which need
VGA to be of any signifigance. How about sound cards (ADLIB) and 3 1/2"
drive support?? How is the speed/performance ratio of the AT
bridgecard?? Can the amiga still multitask amiga progs. in the
background while using IBM software elswhere??

Thanx
