hi, Does anyone know if there is a way to define the axis of rotation for an object in Lightwave 3d? I'm trying to use rotate from the mouse function control panel with an object, but the axis of rotation is not where I want it to be. Thanks dave monachello

The various axis of rotation are at x=0, y=0, z=0. Just place your object appropriately with respect to the origin and resave it. Now when you load it into Lightwave, it will rotate about its local origin as defined by the origin in modeler. %~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~% % ` ' Mark Thompson CONCURRENT COMPUTER % % --==* RADIANT *==-- mark@westford.ccur.com Principal Graphics % % ' Image ` ...!uunet!masscomp!mark Hardware Architect % % Productions (508)392-2480 (603)424-1829 & General Nuisance % % % ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
