[comp.sys.amiga.graphics] lightwave & accel/decel

Scott_Busse@mindlink.bc.ca (Scott Busse) (04/25/91)

Thanks for the info, Mark. Realizing that there is no explicit accel/decel in
Lightwave, my next question was whether the velocities between two adjacent key
framed segments were interpolated, and you have answered yes to that. At one
dealer here in Vancouver, they seemed to think that this was not the case, but
they weren't sure. The interpolation is good enough for me, for now at least. I
still haven't decided on the Toaster for sure though. I have 3/4" editing and
single frame capability, and I must decide whether I can live with the NTSC
format (for editing) or not. If I can, then the Toaster seems to be "the way".
I should think that Allen Hastings must be aware of the need for the
accel/decel/graphing stuff, as he is obviously aware of the high end systems,
probably all of which have that capability... In any case, let's hope he plans
to add it! Do mention it to him (several hundred times) to be sure though, Mark
:)
