an353@cleveland.Freenet.Edu (Adam Benjamin) (05/19/91)
I am starting to use my Amiga for more constructive things than games,
(when my trigger finger gets sore, anyway)
An I was wondering what you-all thought was the best way to acheive
good, clear, crisp, (fill in your favorite adjective) printouts from
scanned in photo's or objects. I have access to an HP scanner, and
I have an older Lx800 (epson) printer. The main thing I am trying to
do right now is get my wife's and my picture on a letterhead. I like
the looks of the scanned pictures but don't like the printouts I'm
getting with excellence!
What programs give the best printout (that I can at least toss some text
into) Am I hoping for too much with this 9 pin printer? Does 24 pins
really make a difference? or should I really shoot for a laserjetIII
(yeah, right.. Send the money too!)
What about printing color things (digiview-ed) do you usually convert them
to grayscale or just let the printer go at it?
Desktop publishing is fun, but there are alot of things to learn...
Thanks
Adam B
