I just got ProTracker V1.1 in yesterday and it's great! i liked v1.0 when i got it but it didnt work with my harddrive so i had to to trash it This version is excellent. it works great with hardrives. it has a lot of configurable stuff. many bugs are fixed. I can finally set up a presetlist with all the samples on my HD. it has an improved sample editor (though i cant sample with my perfect sound cause it has a digital gain) the greatest thing is that you can switch between Vblank and CIA timing. so now i can run it in PAL mode and see the entire screen, and using CIA timing i can adjust a tempo setting and play songs that were written in pal or ntsc at the correct seed! They took out the MIDI stuff except for MIDI input from a keyboard (which is all you need) It even has a setting for slowing it down if your running with an accelerator. it is supposed to run under 2.0 but i had a problem with it, but that might have been because of mach III. oh yah, they fixed the bug that lets you click on workbench icons in the background which was in all other trackers i have tried. (i sometimes would have ran several programs in the background while composing a tune!) plus it has a lot more features to numerous to count!!! In my opinion it is the best! Jus press the key between ESC and TAB, you don't have to run newshell, because PT runs itself like backgrouond process. >it has an improved sample editor (though i cant sample with my perfect >sound cause it has a digital gain) the greatest thing is that you can switch It is AudioMaster clone, it is not a editor. It is inbuilt Audiomaster! 8-) >between Vblank and CIA timing. so now i can run it in PAL mode and see >the entire screen, and using CIA timing i can adjust a tempo >setting and play songs that were written in pal or ntsc at the correct It is very useful when you are entrying music data from keyboard, you don't have to be worry about the tempo. You can change it to which you like it. >seed! Try to change DMA-option from the setup-screen. It helped on my friends Amiga 3000. It works now perfectry under WB 2.0. >(i sometimes would have ran several programs in the background while >composing a tune!) >plus it has a lot more features to numerous to count!!! >In my opinion it is the best! Indeed, this tracker is the best out there...
but how do I get it to run in NTSC mode so I can *use* the sample editor?
Am I gonna need PALboot?
Thanks tons,
