I am having problems with this setup: Amiga 2000 (1 meg) Goldenhawk MIDI interface AmigaDOS 1.3 Music-X First Music-x wouldn't boot. That got solved - bad ram, so disabled fast mem (thanks Dan Barrett). Then the MIDI interface wouldn't fit into the 2000 - it was too small. Turned out to be for a 500 (but 2000 & 500's have same ports), so I put my 1680 modem in the serial port, and the MIDI interface on the pass-thru. No luck with anything. Music-X wouldn't respond at all. Someone suggested that all the pins weren't being passed through to the MIDI interface. That's the way it turned out. So I got a regular serial cord and hooked it into the Amiga, then the MIDI interface. Now, the ESQ-1 synth will play and record tracks into the sequencer (Music-X), but won't play them back through the ESQ-1. I don't understand this, and really don't know what is wrong. Same thing with the drum machine. It would record a sequence, but wouldn't play it back. OUtput on Music-X is set to MIDI, and so is feedback. The feedback is not working either. When I put a note on the bar editor, it is not echoed. THis works when done thru an AMiga sample, but not using MIDI and the ESQ-1. Same with the drum machine. And the drum machine is set to transmit and recieve midi. Is there something wrong with my MIDI interface. The ESQ-1 is set to send out Sysex messages, so I really don't know what to do next. I am determined to get this *&&)# to work. And thanks to Nik for his help (we will solve this). Shayne White
