[comp.sys.amiga.audio] 16 bit audio boards

As much as it may be interesting to those of you who thrive on flame wars, I
would prefer that there not be uninformed flame wars by unauthorized personnel
about the two upcoming 16 bit audio cards, one from France, and the other from
our company and SunRize Industries. It appears that the features are similar,
so other than information gleaned from authorized spokesmen from either
organization is subject to scrutiny. One statement that was made recently is
that the French card has been in existance for a while, and is up to Rev. 2.0,
implying that our card was vaporware. Our card has been in existance, in various
modes of functionality since May, 1990. It was capable of real-time DSP function
since that time, as well as full Zorro II functionality. Hard disk recording has
been functional since late 1990. AES/EBU and SMPTE are being added to the final
production prototype, which will be the last prototype. The next version to
be produced will be the FCC approval model, which should be the production
model.

As far as I know, there are no other SunRize or Vision Quest personnel on the
net, and anyone else claiming to speak for either company other than myself or
Anthony Wood should probably be taken with a grain of salt.
