OK; some replies - OctaMED v1.00 is entirely the work of Teijo K. OctaMEDPlayer is freely distributable; the OctaMED program itself is not. I believe that MED v3.10 uses the same player. The horizontal bar editor (new in v3.00) is gone, because it wasn't very good. The built in sample-editor is solid and useful. Haven't had a chance to try the sample acquisition part of it, as I gave my sampler to someone far away. Dang. 8-channel mode works by mixing two half-volume samples in real time and outputting the mixture to one channel. Processor load is heavy, but you can still multitask on a plain Amiga. OctaMED requires at least 1 MB of RAM. Worldwide distribution of OctaMED is handled by - Amiganuts United 169 Dale Valley Road Hollybrook Southampton SO1 6QX Telephone (in UK) - 0703 785680. (10 am - 6 pm) Your contact is Ray Burt-Frost, with whom (I may add) I have no commercial links. Payment is in Pounds Sterling - #10 Europe, #15 elsewhere. Ray does not accept credit cards, but those prices are inclusive. MED v3.10 is basically a four channel, distributable OctaMED. It'll probably get to an FTP site before long.
