I have a guy who wants to buy and application that allows him to do cad and structural analysis interactivly. What he means by this is that he would like to design a structure and then compute the stressing when a load is put onto the structure. Something like NASTRAN I guess. It seems reasonable that using arexx to allow the cad program to send/receive information from the analysis program would be the most likely way to do it. If anyone knows of something like this, lets hear about it. thanks -- Jim Sanchez | jim@syteke.be (PREFERRED) Hughes LAN Systems | OR uunet!mcsun!ub4b!syteke!jim Brussels Belgium | OR jim@hls.com

However, it was written in Modula2 for the Atari ST (still can't understand why they bought those) I have tried to get them to give me a copy of the source code (I know the original programmer, see him daily) but alas they won't, even though they have absolutely no plans for upgrading it or even marketing it. Really too bad. I'm sure that the Engineering education field could really benefit from such a program for their students to use. I know it came in handy for my design project. I got an idea, how about sending me mail if you would like to see this come to it's fruition. I'm thinking of a petition here, which I could present to the department.
