[comp.sys.amiga.applications] Distant Suns

keith@actrix.gen.nz (Keith Stewart) (01/16/91)

I own Distant Suns 3.0c.1 and today Wednesday 16th I was able to view
here in New Zealand an annular eclipse of the Sun. Well I thought
Distant Suns should be able to replicate this given the right latitude,
longitude, date and time. So tonight I put the info into the programme,
selected the telescope option and whammo a pretty good representation of
the eclipse I had just seen six hours ago. Well done Mike.
Anyone I would recommend this programme to anyone. Of course it goes
much better on my new hard drive along with the Deep Space expansion
disk.
PS It there a later version out. There are a couple of odd occurrences
when I select a few esoteric modes.

I am curious, can you save the pictures generated in IFF so that they
could be viewed by a standard viewing program.

Could you post the setup info for your area?
