The following mention of VLSI design tools on the Amiga was extracted from the September 1990 issue of RESEARCH SOFTWARE published under the Industrial Liason Program at the University of California at Berkeley, it's software distribution office seems to be: Software Distribution Office Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences Electronics Research Laboratory 479 Cory Hall University of California at Berkeley Berkeley, CA 94720 (415) 643 - 6687 The following is reprinted without permission from page 64 of the aformentioned manual: The 1986 VLSI Tools tape includes about 20 programs for layout and analysis of VLSI circuits. The distribution reflects the state of our tools as of December 1985. Major tools on the tape are: Magic, Mpack, PLA tools, Crystal, and Esim. [stuff deleted] The mention of Amiga comes on page 65 of the report: If you require technical support, you may want to buy an enhanced comercial version of the VLSI Tools software system from: Sandhill Systems, Inc. P.O. Box 3159 Ann Arbor, MI 48106 (313) 475 - 7394 They support Apollo and (gasp) COMMODORE AMIGA!! I hope that helps people out in net land. I am not affiliated with anyone and have not used any of the above software, I just heard about the add and knew that people would be interested. Good luck! --George -- George L.
