[comp.sys.amiga.applications] DBC III or licensable database

I am planning a database application that will use AmigaVision as its
user interface. I need a database engine that supports the relational
model, and is either free to include, licensable, or (like DBC III, I
assume) free to link into my own code.

  1. DBC III - Does anyone have any experience with this? I would
     appreciate any comments regarding its suitability for my needs
     and in general. Also, does SAS still support it?

  2. Are there other database products that meet my needs? Keep in
     mind that it should be able to communicate via ARexx, run in
     the background (i.e. no screen or window of its own), and 
     be includable in my product (that is, the users need not own
     their own copies).
