[comp.sys.amiga.applications] More PageStream 2.1 'fc' woes.

I'm having REAL trouble converting PostScript fonts on my Amiga with
PageStream2.1's fc. When I convert a font with, all it does is eat every
single byte of memory I have then crash! How much memory does fc typically
need to convert a font? I have 3 megs so it should be plenty.

Please try this set-up to see if it works on your set-up (not mine though!):

1) FTP to mac.archive.umich.edu
2) cd to mac/system.extensions/font/Type3.font and get theatre.sit.hqx
3) logoff, convert hqx, and download.
4) run unsit then makemac the .R and .D files.

5) run fc and try to convert the mother. Does it crash your system?

Maybe we should create a /incling/amiga/PageStream directory at AB20
for exclusive use of uploading and downloading PageStreeam fonts

sound neat?

I don't have a crash (A1000 w/2.5 meg), but FC tells me that I'm out of memory
and refuses to even try. I wonder how much memory it DOES take...
