[comp.sys.amiga.advocacy] Editor Wars

Since we're over in .advocacy now, I figured I'd toss my fave into the

o Over 100 powerful commands with many options
o Can be run as a hidden background process
o Send a variety of information back to ARexx
o Fully documented error codes
o QED's own macro mechanism
o Macro recorder
o User callable custom requesters

o Assign any command(s), or macro to any of over 350 keypress combinations
o Quick user definable function keys menu
o Assign any command(s), or macro to single, or double mouse clicks
o Multiple commands per line

It's about 84K on disk- I don't know how big CygEd is, but I keep
hearing horror stories about the size of GNU Emacs...;-). I crunched QED down
to about 45K with PowerPacker and stuck in on my Workbench disk (no HD :-( ).
I particularly like its Arexx features- I switched to it from UEdit because
of the latter's incomprehensible command language and screwy Arexx port.
$30, shareware. Worth every penny.
