c Regarding wind chill factors... is there also a wind-fry effect? I was thinking of this today while driving along with the windows open, it seemed that the more wind I got the hotter I felt. Mark Mallett

I've noticed "wind fry" in saunas when moving about. Try moving your arm quickly next time you take a sauna to experience this "new" phenomenon! Michael Ackerman (decvax!bunker!ma, ...pur-ee!ack) Bunker Ramo Corp. Purdue Univ.

It seems to me that there should be a wind fry effect. I certainly felt that there was when driving recently to Death Valley (I didnt make it - I was too fried...I turned back) It seems to me that hot enough air would compensate for skin perspiration cooling, espeically if it wasnt dry air, so it didnt help evaporate the pperspiration. But I must admit to complete ignorance in this area (other than first-skin experience). Anyone else know anything about it? Michael Wagner, UofToronto Computing Services
